Our Story

Raleigh Gutter Experts was founded by Triangle-based tradesmen who got tired of watching their friends and neighbors get oversold by out-of-state franchise gutter operators. The kitchen-table-close model was producing five-figure replacement quotes for systems that genuinely needed a few hundred dollars of repair, with warranties that wouldn’t transfer and crews that had never set foot in the home until install day. We built Raleigh Gutter Experts as the opposite of that model: a locally owned gutter specialist that quotes after inspecting, that sends the same technician for both the inspection and the install, that publishes its warranty terms in plain English, and that doesn’t push replacement when repair is the right answer.

Locally Owned, Raleigh-Based

We live in Raleigh. Our shop is in the Triangle, our trucks are out across Wake County every day, and our technicians know your neighborhoods because they grew up in them. When you call us, the person who answers knows what the loblolly pine drop looks like in Cary in October, knows the difference between a 1960s Wake Forest brick ranch and a 2010s Knightdale tract home, and knows which neighborhoods have which tree canopy. National franchises cannot match that and they don’t try — they win on advertising spend, not local knowledge.

Meet the Team

Our techs come out of the residential roofing, gutter, and exterior trim trades. Every technician has been through hands-on training on .032 commercial-grade seamless aluminum fabrication, concealed hidden hanger spacing, micro-mesh stainless steel guard install standards, buried PVC downspout extension grading, and proper sealant application. We do not hire commission salespeople. The same technician who climbs your ladder on inspection day is the one who designs your install, who shows up on day one to start the work, and who handles your 30-day and 12-month follow-up visits.

What Makes Us Different

Three things, and they’re simple:

We quote after inspecting. Always. There is no phone quote, no “starting at” bait price, no kitchen-table close where you sign on inspection day or lose the discount. The written estimate arrives within 24 hours of the visit and holds for 30 days.

The inspecting tech does the install. No sales handoff, no surprise change orders on day one. The person who measured your gutters is the person who installs the work, and that single decision eliminates the most common failure mode in the gutter-replacement business.

We don’t push replacement when repair is the right answer. The national-franchise model is structured to sell complete-home replacement on every job. Often the gutters genuinely need replacement — but often they need a re-hang, a sealant refresh, or a downspout upgrade for a fraction of the replacement cost. We tell you which one your home needs.

Our Credentials

We are licensed general contractors in the State of North Carolina and carry general liability coverage along with workers’ compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available on request before any work begins on your property. We are not affiliated with any national franchise, home-improvement chain, or roofing company — we are independent specialists in residential gutter and exterior trim work.

Why We Specialize

Gutter work sits at the intersection of roofing, exterior trim, drainage engineering, and fall-protection safety. A general remodeler does not know how to size downspouts for piedmont thunderstorm rain volumes. A roofing company often quotes gutters as a low-margin add-on with minimum spec materials. A landscaping company doing drainage work often misses the upstream gutter capacity issue that’s causing the foundation moisture problem in the first place. We specialize in gutters because doing this work well requires all four disciplines, and a generalist trying to do it as a side service usually produces a mediocre install with a non-transferable warranty. We do this one thing and we do it across hundreds of Raleigh-area homes every year.

What We Don’t Do

We don’t do roofing (we coordinate with reputable Triangle roofing companies when we find an underlying roof issue during a gutter inspection). We don’t do siding or paint (we coordinate with exterior-trim specialists for paint touch-ups after fascia repair). We don’t do basement waterproofing or crawl-space encapsulation (those are different trades — we’ll happily refer you to a specialist for either). When you call us with a problem outside our specialty, we’ll tell you and recommend someone we trust.

Every Raleigh Gutter Experts job that has gone well — the Raleigh-area homes that came to us with chronic corner overflow during piedmont thunderstorms and now handle 4″+/hour bursts without spilling a drop, the Wake Forest homes that no longer have backflow staining on the siding, the two-story homes in Morrisville where the homeowner finally stopped having to risk a 24-foot ladder twice a year — built our reputation.
